The team at The Brace Place are a lovely bunch. We work together for our patients to ensure they have a wonderful time getting their teeth straightened.
After qualifying as a dental nurse in 2010, I joined the Brace Place in 2013 and completed the NEBDN orthodontic nursing qualification.
I then went on to study orthodontic therapy at UCLAN, qualifying in June 2018.
I live in Skipton with my husband and Jack Russell who keep me busy in my spare time.
I started dental nursing at the tender age of 16. I had a career change and worked in newspaper promotion. I returned to the dental profession when my children started school. I live near Leeds with my husband, my son and our rescue dog. My spare time is taken up walking the dog and keeping the males in the house in order.
After spending 14 years in the travel industry, and being fortunate in travelling to many lovely places, I became a Mum in 2000. I became a foster carer as well and have fostered 32 children to date.
I worked in various sales roles before starting as the receptionist at the Brace Place.
I still love travelling, along with renovating houses and walking my dogs.
From the age of 17 I jumped straight into my career as a Dental nurse. Qualifying in 2011, I worked my way up to lead nurse in general dental practice.
Seeking new opportunities, I was lucky enough to land a new challenge in orthodontic nursing, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. I am the practice treatment co-ordinator and I take our patients through their journey to straighter teeth.
In my spare time I enjoy keeping active, teaching fitness classes on evenings and walking my dog.
I have worked in general dentistry from the age of 19 after finishing my A levels. I qualified as a dental nurse in 2011.
I decided I would like to enhance my dental knowledge and skills and came to The Brace Place recently to do orthodontic nursing.
I currently live near Bingley and enjoy walking, socialising and getting stuck into a good book.
